Bookends and Vases - Lions of Judah Bookends

From antiquity, the Lion of Judah has been a symbol of the Jewish people. The symbol represents physical and spiritual strength, as well as power and royalty, and is appropriate to display on bookends, tzedakah boxes and other ceremonial works. Used in bookends, this Lion of juda would be the perfect gift for a bar or bat mitzvah, a new home, or any present for a loved one for their home. The stained glass is hand cut, wrapped in copper and soldered to form the shape of the bookends. The lions, designed by Julie Staller-Pentelnik, have been sandblasted on black iridescent glass and then fire polished in the kiln before adhering the shape of the lions to the fronts of the bookends.
