Handmade Glass Menorahs - Israeli Dancer Menorah

Handmade Glass Menorahs - Israeli Dancer Menorah

$287.92

Artist Susan Fullenbaum If you are a lover of Israeli music, a dancer, or just love watching Israeli dancing, you'll want to own this Hanukkah menorah. The dancers are so joyous that they should be part of the original "celebration" series. The dancers were designed with Julie Staller-Pentelnik, a well known Jewish artist, specializing in Hebrew calligraphy and ketubot. Hanukkah is an eight day celebration commemorating the historic victory of the Maccabees over the Syrian king, Antiochus, and his army. Hanukkah also celebrates the miracle of the small vessel of oil that burned for eight days in the Temple. Each section of stained glass has been hand cut, wrapped in metal and soldered to form the shape. The dancing images are sandblasted first and then fire polished in a kiln. Top of the menorah with the candle holders is added last. There are nine candle holders - eight for each night of the festival and one, the shammos, to light the candles each night. Size - 11 1/2 x 5 x 4"
