Handmade Glass Menorahs - Miriam Menorah

Artist Susan Fullenbaum The graphic design on the Hanukkah menorah is Miriam and her followers after crossing the Red Sea. MIriam, with tambourine in hand, is leading the Israelite women in their victory celebration. Miriam, the sister of Moses and Aaron, was one of the leaders of the Jewish people and today has become a symbol for Jewish feminists in political and spiritual leadership. Dancers, singers, little girls, feminists, grandmothers all relate to Miriam. This menorah would be the perfect gift for today's modern woman or a bat mitzvah girl. Each piece of glass in the Hanukkah menorah has been hand cut, wrapped in copper and soldered to form the shape. The figures have been sandblasted and then fire polished in the kiln. The candle holders are added to the top - eight for each night of Hanukkah and one, the Shammos, to light the others. Size - 12 x 6 x 4"
